Solar Charging a new iPhone 13 to an older non-apple solar power bank such as emergency camping gear?

Is it risky to connect a brand new apple product such as iPhone to a solar power bank via any new USBC to USB adapters - the powerbank is not an apple product?

Nope. It's fine.

Make sure the power bank can provide 5volts at 1 to 2 amps and 5 to 20 watts. Best results with wattage between 15 and 20 watts.

There should be no danger to the iPhone by doing this.

Thanks!

Not sure I understand the Voltage stuff but I can get help with that,

was mostly worried about damaging the iPhone … so it seems that damage is caused by surges which make sense

so — I’d need to get a cable that’s USBC to USB ? Is that right?

I’d be connecting a brand new iPhone 13 to an older solar radio / phone charger camping thing I got at big 5 like two years ago …..
