What happens if you go to the iTunes Store and try to buy a song?

In theory it should use the credits automatically when you try to purchase a song. Link->i have 5 song credits, have no idea wat t… - Apple Community

Do note it may ask you to verify your payment method. It should not charge it, but will need to be verified

This is what I find in my account: /Users/rogerbarnett/Desktop/Screen Shot 2022-01-20 at 3.16.57 PM.jpg

It would not let me paste the graphic. My "Apple Account" shows a Balance of 10 Songs.

Also, when I open the Music app, under the "Account" pull-down menu it says 10 credits.

But, as I indicated, there is no way I can find to redeem the credits or to take advantage of my Balance.
