HomeKit Thread Devices 'Updating'

I am running a mixture of Philips Hue and Nanoleaf Essentials bulbs in my home, with the Nanoleaf bulbs connected using Thread (I have three HomePod Minis and one of the latest Apple TV 4ks). When I open the Home app, all the Hue bulbs show their status straight away, but all the Nanoleaf bulbs show 'Updating' for various lengths of time - sometimes barely a second, other times quite a few seconds. Using Siri to control the Nanoleaf bulbs results in the bulb not responding at all, or there being a significant delay.

Has anyone else seen this behavior, or know of a solution? I thought Thread was meant to be ultra responsive, but am seriously considering replacing them with Hue devices.

My Apple TV is hardwired to my home router. My HomePod Minis have a great connection to my router as well as being fully up to date. I’ve tried rebooting my router, HomePod Minis, and turned the lights off then back on. No joy. I have also contacted NanoLeaf support for further help. They sent me an email with instructions to resolve the issue. The steps they provided did, in fact, resolve my issue for about a week. However, I would really hate to constantly have to remove the bulbs from my network, factory reset them, scan the codes for all 6 bulbs, and add them back to my home ever week.
