Does anyone else have a problem with their children having access to inappropriate images on their Apple watches?

I purchased apple watches for my 8 and 10 year old boys because Apple advertises them as being safe/appropriate for children. I turned on screen time and went through all the available restrictions that offer my children some protection and gave me some peace of mind. And then I received a text message from my son with an inappropriate gif that he clicked on after he searched the #images app that is available through messages. I spent two days working with multiple people at Apple support only to find out there is NO WAY to remove access to that feature on an Apple Watch that is not paired to a phone. The whole point of family setup was to give children a watch that isn’t paired to a phone because they are too young for a phone, I just want to be able to call or message them, and track where they are which is all working great! I don’t want to have to get rid of the watches over this so PLEASE Apple- either clean up the images to make them age appropriate to the user of the device, or allow parents to remove access to that feature on Children’s watches. Until then you should not be falsely advertising that the Apple Watch is safe/appropriate for children. If anyone else is having this same issue please chime in so we can get this resolved as soon as possible.

I could not agree more! Please Apple Clean up the GIFs- Porn has no place in Children's Watches! This has to be an oversight! Please make GIFs have ratings so that kids can still have fun without having their innocence stripped from them! And if there is no way of doing that allow parents the option to remove gifs all together to protect their children. HELP THE CHILDREN APPLE🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I 10000% agree. I have loved how Apple has made so many strides in protecting children and youth. Screen Time is unbelievable and getting better all of the time. I can’t say enough good about it. But there are still holes and this is one of them. Please please please use all of those amazing brains at Apple to stay ahead of our kids and those that want to take advantage of them.
