How to activate iPad as it couldn't be connected with the activation server?

If the iPad cannot connect to the Activation server the following link will help resolve this issue:

If you still are not able to get your AppleID you can contact Apple Support.

You can do this as follows:

• Online:--> Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple;
• Contacting a local Apple Store or AASP among the list provided above but also again as follows Apple – Location Selector; or
• Using the "Apple Support" app, available and downloadable from App Store.

However, please note that Apple will require proof of ownership and you should have your receipt or invoice available.

Sorry but in regards to the iPad being a 3rd Generation and as it is no longer supported with the more recent Security updates, and therefore may still cause you problems as some apps and websites may no longer work on the iPad, you may want to consider purchasing another iPad and the following link shows you what iPads are currently available:

You could also consider a refurbished iPad which are available from time to time and at reasonable prices as per the following link:
