computer os rename
i backed up my new macbook pro 14' from old macbook air using time machine......now my new macbook pro is showing mac book air because i backed up from my old device.....help me how to rename this

Go to System Preferences > Sharing
and see what is given as the name of your Mac. At the top of the panel you will see the statement: Computer Name. Here you can give it any name you like, although some would suggest that you keep it short.
This will be the computer's identity on your network.
You do not describe where your "new macbook pro is showing mac book air" so it may also be possible that you changed the name of your old Mac's drive to MacBook Air - the factory setting is Macintosh HD. This name (MacBook Air) will also will migrate across to your new system and you can change this by clicking once on the icon and after a pause clicking once on the drive's name. Then you can type a new name, just like any folder in Finder.
