Payment methods

I am on a family sharing plan. I am trying to add my own card to payment methods. It won’t let me add or even edit payment. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Family Sharing/Payment methods Am I able to add my own payment method for purchases if I am using Family sharing? I know purchasing iTunes cards is also an option, but i’m hoping it’s been simplified by just adding my own credit/debit card and using that as my primary card for purchases made on my account.

When you are on a Family Sharing plan, only the organizer's credit card can be added to the account. Buy/redeem Apple Gift cards to the account. Charges will be deducted from the account balance before the organizer's credit card is charged.

Apple Card -

Gift cards redeem. *

Gift Card - can’t redeem. *
