If those steps don't help, try resetting them as well: Reset your Beats Studio Buds
If the issue persists, it looks like your iPhone needs to be updated. Before you begin, make sure there is a backup for her data as described here: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

If after taking those steps you're still having trouble updating, we recommend updating through your computer as described here:

For Mac: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with the Finder
If you are unable to update or restore, please follow the steps listed here: If you can't update or restore your iPhone or iPod touch
