Black screen during screen share

Whenever I screen share HBO Max the person viewing my screen is met with only a black screen, does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities. You're trying to share your screen using the guidance from Share your screen in FaceTime on your iPhone or iPad but your contact only sees a black screen. Right?


Do both you and your contact have access to the HBO Max content that you're trying to watch? Do they have FaceTime open when you are attempting to start SharePlay? Did they get any notification?
