How do I change my hotmail display name on iPhone 13?

My outgoing hotmail has my son’s name displayed as sender. How do I change it to MY name? Thanks!

Hi Infinitum3D,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today with your iPhone 13 Pro Max. As we understand, you son's name is shown as a sender on your Hotmail account.

Does this happen at the Hotmail website? If it does, then the issue would need to be resolved there.

There may be other possibilities, however. Did the iPhone ever belong to your son? If so, he should have followed: What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

Was your iPhone restored from his backup on accident?

Have you tried deleting your mail account and re-adding it?

You can delete your Hotmail account in Settings > Mail > Accounts.

Then try restarting and adding it back: Add an email account to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

It does NOT happen at the Hotmail website. Just from my phone. He does not have a hotmail account, only I do.

This is a new phone, never has been my son’s.

It was set up using MY backup only. Everything else on the phone is mine, correctly.

i have deleted the account and re-added it, but outgoing Mail still displays my son as sender.

Is there some where/way in settings or accounts or somewhere else to change the outgoing sender display name? I can’t find his name anywhere on the phone in any of the accounts or apps or settings, so I don’t know where else to look for it to make the change.

Settings > Mail > Default Account > just goes to a list of accounts with one checked. They option is to change the check for which is the default. Hotmail is already my default.

Thanks for the suggestion. On my iPhone 13, the From field displayed is just my email address.

When it’s received by anyone, that’s where it shows his name as the sender. When I click on his name, it says “Siri found in Apps” and it has his name with my email address.

I’ve tried looking in Siri’s settings, my email accounts, my phone contacts, it’s not in any of the places I’ve looked.

Thanks again for the suggestion. Any other ideas?
