Back up issue

Why am still receiving a message telling that I don’t have enough storage for backing up while my storage is mostly is empty?!!!!!

What's the difference between device storage and iCloud storage? – Apple Support (UK)

The free tier of iCloud, only has 5gb of storage. You’ll need to upgrade it to get more.
