windows 10 email wont except mac password

I am running a iMac Pro with Windows 10 in a boot camp configuration. I had a Microsoft tech help me in setting up my Mac e-mail account on Windows 10 today. When signing in the error message tells me that the "password" is wrong. The MS tech told me it was a "password permission" problem that Apple needs to help me with?

There was a time when my Mac e-mail worked great with Window 10, about a year ago it quit working.

If you mean your iCloud email account, you need to set up an app specific password for the email client to use.
