False Monterey upgrade notification

Hi all.

I have a late 2014 5K iMac, and have just received a pop-up notification from the App Store to upgrade to Monterey.

Now I know my machine was not on the supported machine list when Monterey came out, but thought this meant it had been added after further testing...

...but when I click 'Get' on the App Store I am taken to the Software Update preference panel and then told "Update Not Found".

Is this just a bug, or has Apple actually release Monterey for older Macs?

That is, as you said, a false. For iMacs you need iMac introduced in late 2015 or later. Just disregard.
