is icloud the same as drop box on my computer?

Another option, if you use iCloud on your iPad, you may want to set up iCloud on your computer (if it's a Windows computer). This will allow you to sync your photos to iCloud, and then to your iPad.

If using a Mac, enabling iCloud photos will allow your items to sync automatically.
