How do I open an app that is in iCloud? They won't open on my new phone

Information was transferred to my new iPhone 12 and many of the Apps are in iCloud and I cannot open them now. How can I open them?

Apps are never stored in iCloud.

Your apps should automatically download from the App Store. However, if they don't, see here:

Redownload apps and games from Apple - Apple Support
