Safari error invalid captcha - after entering valid ID and password

This is weird. Safari 15.2 on Monterey. I setup a username and password on a valid website.

When I returned to the site to login I get the error - invalid captcha. However, there is no captcha on the site.

I cleared the safari cache and deleted cookies and history

any ideas what is going wrong?

thanks

Mark

Some people have had success in getting Safari to work with captcha pages after initially failing by changing a setting in Safari's preferences:

Go to Safari > Preferences > Privacy

and remove the tick from the box that says Prevent cross-site tracking

Although you noted that no captcha was in use it might be a similar issue.

You might then wish to reset this to continue to prevent cross-site tracking.
