I have several fonts that are different fonts. They are different styles/types, which are made by different designers. Some of these fonts share the same name which was created by the designer. Font book is flagging them as duplicates. HELP

I have a ton of fonts. Mostly downloaded from creative fabrica. Some are downloaded in other sites that are free. I have new M1 Mac running MacOS Monterery. I have several DIFFERENT fonts that are different types of font, different styles of fonts-- which were made by different designers. Some of these fonts share the same name. So font book is flagging these fonts as duplicate fonts. ultimately only allowing one of them to be active at a time. And it chooses which ones are active/inactive. I was told to go into and change the names of the ones that are inactive. Which I did. The names of the fonts change. And show up as the name that I chose. Yet still, Font book is still flagging them as duplicates and only allowing one of them to be active at a time. Before changing any names, it shows for example: Samantha.otf (active), SamanthaCraft.otf (inactive), and Samantha Heart.otf (inactive). After I change the names to Apple.otf, Orange.otf and Pear.otf.... That is exactly what they show up as. How can I fix this issue? Why in the frick frack is this such an unknown issue that 0 out of 10 apple support members have no clue how to correct???
