I installed an Apple update that corrupted by iPhone 8.
It changed my grey icon to a red icon with my initials.
I changed it back on my phone - but it still appears on my friends phones when I send them a text???

They will need to change the picture they have for you on their phones. If they have iPhones, they should be offered the option to use the picture you're using as long as you have your phone set to share the picture. Settings>Messages>Share Name and Photo>On.
