Apps do not transfer directly from your former Apple device. Instead, they are downloaded to your new device from the App Store. You will therefore be obtaining the app’s current version. If the app is no longer available in the App Store, you will not obtain it on your new iPad.
To download the apps, keep your iPad on a strong Wi-Fi signal and well charged.

Will this happen automatically or do I need to go to the APP store and download all my APPs again?
Good question. Sorry I wasn’t clear on this above.
If you successfully used Quick Start or an iOS backup of your old device, the downloads will happen automatically.
Thank You!
Glad that helped.
Enjoy your new iPad.
