AirPods disconnecting from 11 pro max

I have been having issues with my AirPods disconnecting from my iPhone 11 pro max. I initially just thought it was my AirPods since they were the first-gen and a few years old so I went ahead and purchased the AirPod pros. The AirPods will connect fine and play media but then after a few minutes disconnect and then the only way for me to reconnect is to put them back in the case and connect again. The AirPods never have problems when connected to my mac and stay connected the entire time. My phone also has no issues with other Bluetooth devices such as other wireless headphones, speakers, and cars.

Just seems weird that I have now had issues with two different sets of AirPods and only have the issue on my phone and not my mac.

Hi nick5783,

We see your AirPods don't remain consistently paired to your iPhone, however both devices maintain connections with other Bluetooth compatible devices.

We'd recommend resetting the AirPods if you have not already. Those steps can be found below:

If the issue persists after that, reach out to Apple Support directly for additional assistance.

Take care.
