Stumping Sirius XM App - streaming stops out of the blue

I have an Apple TV 4th with TvOS 14.0.2 and 32 GB of RAM.

No other App open, yet my Spa 68 station wants to stop playing and ask me to continue or stop playing sometimes a minute after the last start, an hour, or six hours.

I have an exclusive streaming account just for the App.

Tried deleting the app and logging in and out of the account.

Tried restarting the AppleTV, and quitting all open Apps except the home screen App itself for the AppleTV. My WiFi signal is solid.

What is worse, when I hit Continue it shows the vertical dancing bars over the station icon, but no music comes out. I have to switch stations, hit play on another station, and then switch back to run the App to get music to run again. Sometimes hitting Continue works fine without any messing. Sometimes it fails a minute after starting playing.

There is plenty of time left in the stream bar.

All the auto play options are on, and Apple Analytics are off. No location services, no Siri.

The LA screens saver starts when playback has stopped out of the blue and there is no input after that stop for awhile.

So I've escalated a ticket to the highest engineers at Sirius.

Is there any way to get the App to continuously play?

Is there any way to access the caches to see if that's what's corrupted?

Greetings a brody,

I understand you're looking for assistance with your Apple TV that seems to have Sirius XM stop playing music at random, right? Check out the following information to see if it helps.

As you state you're on tvOS 14.0.2, there may be an update available to your Apple TV to install tvOS 15.2. If this is an option, it would be best to go ahead and install that update to determine if this is related to what is occurring with the music stopping. For assistance with updating your Apple TV, check out the following resource:

Update your Apple TV

Once you've confirmed that you're up to date with tvOS, let's then confirm that the apps are updated to the latest version. With the Apple TV, apps are typically set to update automatically, but they need to have the compatible tvOS version installed to complete the update. If you're uncertain if automatic updates is enabled, check out the section labeled "Set up automatic updates or installation" of the following resource:

Download apps on your Apple TV

Lastly, if this only occurs with the Sirius XM, it would be best to contact their developers to look into this as you have already done. You'll want to follow up with them; however, you can Contact Apple Support to look into this in more detail if you'd like to be sure nothing has been looked over.

Have a great day!
