Push notifications new phone

Push notifications new phone:

How do I get push notifications from an application to come to my new phone? There is no problem with the application itself sending the push notification because I’m receiving it on my old iPhone 6s which is still enabled for Wi-Fi data only. Is there something I need to do in my old phone so they push notifications for this application goes to the new phone? Please advise thank you
