does apple do same day iPad screen replacement in Australia or do you have to wait for a few days and they send it somewhere? also does apple actually repair the screens or do you get a new iPad? I have a small crack and I was looking to fix it

Here in the U.S., Apple and Apple Stores do not actually repair iPads.
Apple ONLY offers in/out of warranty device replacement.
Apple charges a screen repair cost for a replacement iPad, in lieu of actual screen repair/replacement.
The replacement iPad may or may not be a refurbished iPad model.
