iphone news articles won’t share, why?

no way to open in Safari. The buttons usually don’t work in the news section

It appears that you're having a problem sharing news links in the News app to open the article in Safari, and we're glad to provide assistance.
Get started with News on iPhone - Apple Support -- After tapping the Share button in an article, if Safari isn't listed, scroll to the far-right on the Share Sheet and add it.
If Safari displays a blank page or quits on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support -- We see that you came to Apple Support Communities from this article. If Safari won't open the article after it's been shared, apply the steps provided in this article.
If those steps didn't help, please reply to this post with the answers to the following questions:
- Which model of iPhone are you using and which iOS is it currently on (Settings > General > About)?
- If you copy the link from the news article and paste it into the Safari search bar, does the page open as expected (you'll use the Share button to do this)?
- Are you having problems with other websites at all?
