iPhone 12 iso 15 How do I PUSH email?

I had to open iPhone every few minutes to force email message in. I missed important messages because it wouldn't come in unless I open iPhone mail and tweak until messages come in. It is tiring. I see in the setting only the iCloud can be set to Push but other email servers like AOL, Y!, etc. are set to 2 options: fetch or manual. I WANT PUSH at all times. How?

Push requires “cooperation” between the mail provider and your iPhone; that is, the mail provider is the one that “pushes” email to your phone. The only two mail services that push to the built in mail app are iCloud and Microsoft Exchange. AOL, Yahoo (which is AOL with a different name) and gmail will push, but only to their dedicated apps. The next best thing is Fetch, which periodically checks for mail on the schedule that you set in Settings/Mail.

Mail is an unreliable store-and-forward scheme.

Mail client notifications of the arrival of a mail message at the destination mail server involving push notifications are only available from mail providers that offer push.

And the mail delivery itself underlying all this is itself not reliable.

Like its namesake, mail messages and letters can both go missing.

Messages can get caught behind routing outages, or spam filters, or various other blockages, and either delaying or discarding messages.

Your expectations and the tools here fundamentally mismatch.

Need more reliable and more rapidly-notified messages? Use a different communications path. Use Signal, iMessage, whatever.

Tap Fetch New Data --> Push (always on green) New data will be pushed to your iPhone from the server when possible.
