Apple Watch 7 “no more events”
Is it possible to have the calendar notifications on the face just for actual events, such that when there are no more events for a day, it’s just blank? Or does it have to say, “no more events”?

That is currently not an option for the Apple Watch. You can let Apple know you would like to see a change adding this feature by going to Feedback - Apple Watch - Apple

I just bought a new Apple Watch and I noticed it said ‘no more events’ which was an eyesore for me. I found out if i hold down the face on the watch you can edit the complications. There is an option to turn it off. It worked for me and now I am a happy camper.
I’m scared to mess with it lol because it’s perfect right now. Just try holding down the face of your watch and click edit. I think you can slide to get more options. I know there was a place where I could turn something off and I did it and it went away. I think it was at the top area of complications. Please let me know if it works for you.
If I understand you correctly, all you did was turn off the Calendar complication completely, so you no longer see anything for the Calendar, is that correct?
