Apple Pay refund in store not showing in latest transactions
Hi,
I got refund from a store on january 12th. The receipt from the store terminal states “authorized”, and the device account number on the receipt is correct. It’s january 23th now, and still no sign of the refund in my account. I contacted my bank, and they’re telling me, that they can not confirm, that a refund payment is pending. In the “latest transactions” overview in Apple wallet, the transactions does not appear either.
I have no reason to suspect the store to have bad intentions, and not wanting to fulfill the refund. It’s my local hifi store, and they have been around for maybe 20 some years. In the past (I got a refund in November of 2021) when I paid a deposit for a loan, I got the refund witin 3-5 days - although every time, I used my physical credit card in the terminal. This time I used my Apple wallet, and as it is 3K$ I’m waiting for, I’m getting a bit impatient. I’m located in Denmark, Europe, and we don’t use a practice where the consumer needs to provide the device account number or other credit card info on refunds. You just put your credit card in the terminal, and the shop refunds the money directly to the credit card you use in the terminal.
There’s a similar question from 2020 in the discussions forum, but there was no follow up, and I cannot reply to the author, as the thread seem to have been closed.
Can anyone shed some light on store refunds with Apple wallet with VISA cards and expected time for a refund?
Thanks!
