Presumably you have purchased an Apple USB-C 20W Power Adapter? Be aware that third-party (non Apple) Power Adapters may not be fully compatible.

Assuming that your Power Adapter is compatible with your iPad, you will also require the correct charging/data cable.

If you have an iPad with a USB-C connector (2020/2021 model of iPad Pro 11” - as indicated by your quoted model number), you will require a USB-C to USB-C charging cable:

  • USB-C Charge Cable (1m)

If you have an iPad with an Apple Lightning connector, you will require a USB-C to Lightning cable:

  • USB-C to Lightning Cable (1m)

You should always use the correct cable to connect your iPad to your Power Adapter. Do no use a simple plug-adapter in an attempt to “adapt” an unsuitable cable to a different connector - as these often don’t work as expected, or may actually cause irreparable damage to the iPad.

Troubleshooting generally requires substitution of the Power Adapter and cable for another known-good item.

If you continue to experience difficulties, you might be best advised to seek assistance directly from from Apple Support. You can contact the Support Team using the Get Support link at top-right of this page. Alternatively, you can initiate and manage your support cases using the excellent Apple Support App. If not already installed on your iPad, the App can be downloaded from the App Store:

You might also visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to test and assess your iPad, Power Adapter and cable(s):
