Airpods Pro connecting while in their case

My Airpods Pro sometimes connect to my phone/other devices while they are in their case. This is really annoying because it drains the battery.. Already reset my Airpods but the problem is still there. Any solutions?

Hi Matthew.S81,

Thanks for your answer. All operating systems are up to date and I followed your instructions but it is still happening. A friend of mine has the same issue so I guess it’s an issue with the 4C165 version on the Airpods Pro’s…

Hello Basvg_,

It appears from your post that you are having an issue with your AirPods discharging while in their case.

Be sure that the operating system installed on the device being used is up to date.

Tap on Settings > Bluetooth > [AirPods Name] and check "Automatic Ear Detection". If disabled, enable it and test to see if the issue continues. If it is enabled, toggle it off then on and see if the issue remains.

Tap on Settings > Bluetooth > [AirPods Name] and check the status of "Connect to this iPhone". If set to "Automatically" change it to "When last connected to This iPhone" and test again.

Have a good day.

What to do:

Disable Bluetooth, and everything reported would stop, I assure you.
