Mac crashes on launch and I can't access Disk Utility

Last night my MacBook Pro (2020, Intel) crashed. I can reach the login screen, but when I enter my password to login it crashes, and this repeats. It also crashes when I try to access Disk Utility, which means that there is no way for me to get in to my Mac.

Anyone know what could possibly have caused this and if there is another way to get in?

Haven't tried booting in safe mode, but I talked to a certified reseller and handed it in for service. They haven't seen the problem and none of their usual "service booting methods" worked. So my worry is that the service shop will diagnose it as a software issue, which means that I will end up with a broken computer. If that is the case I will try to boot it in safe mode.

It allows me to type in my password as usual and then shows the progress bar and it fills about a mm of the progress bar and then immediately crashes.

Does the same issue present when booting into Safe Mode. ?

Shutdown computer by any means including Power Button.

Disconnect all external Drives.

Restart and Immediately hold the SHIFT key until the Apple Logo is presented - then, release.

It will do a repair disk, clear cache files and only load Apple Software, extensions and fonts so the loading is slow - normal.

Does the computer boot up and allow one to log in ?
