What is the name of the server whose identity it can’t verify? Most commonly this will be for a calendar you subscribed to, such as a sports schedule, that is now out of date. If it’s that you can go to Settings/Calendar/Accounts/Subscribed Calendars and delete the calendar, or in the Calendar app tap on Calendars and delete it there.

Another possibility is that you are using a VPN connection and the server is not available over the VPN “tunnel” you are using. If you are using VPN try turning it off, and if that doesn’t fix it delete the VPN app and any VPN profiles., then restart your phone.

Greetings pepper194,

I understand you're getting a message on your iPhone, so let's see if the following information can help with that.

For a better clarification of what you're experiencing, could you answer the following questions?

  • In regards to the message you're seeing, where does it appear?
  • Does this occur with a specific app, or action on your iPhone?
    • If so, could you detail what app you're using and what actions are taken when this occurs?
  • With the message you're seeing, does it clear on it's own or how do you clear the message when it appears?

If your iPhone isn't up to date, be sure to create a recent backup prior to installing the update to see if this clears this up. If you need assistance with any of these steps, check out the following resources:

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If this doesn't clear up what is occurring, check that the date and time on your iPhone are set correctly to see if this may be related to what you're seeing. For assistance with checking the date and time settings, use this resource:

Change the date and time on iPhone

If you're still seeing the error message, answer the previous questions and provide as much detail as you can for a more helpful response.

Have a great day!

message comes up multiple times a day in various apps or actions, not limited to any specific one. I can press "Clear" and it goes away but then comes back later. All my software is up to date, date and time is correct. I wiped phone back to factory settings yesterday and it still happens. The site that the message refers to is from a now-defunct yoga studio. The server is one that handled their class sign-ups, etc. I think it's a case of having a business name and server name that are different but how do I get rid of it?
