Mainstage: Registry Error

Have bought Mainstage 3 to run a live set with click, backing tracks and keys patches, but on opening, Mainstage is freezing, "not responding" and when force quit, there is an error message behind the loading screen that says "registry error: please make sure the product is properly installed" I have reinstalled from the app store three times now with no results. I;ve also tried downloading a blank concert preset and opening from there with the same issue. It crashes when it reached "updating information about Audio Plug Ins"

Any help would be really appreciated, It's a shame, I used to use mainstage years ago at Uni and it was amazing then.

The clue might be the message about plugins; it may be that there is one in your system that is causing the issue.

Usually, they are located at /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/ (it is a hidden location so you will need to navigate to it by telling the Finder to go there).

You could try moving the contents of that folder elsewhere temporarily and see if that makes a difference; if it does, it implies one or more of the files is causing the issue.

Alternatively, you could try running auval -a from the command prompt which might throw up a pointer to any problematic plug-ins.
