On my iMac contact names appear twice but all data is missing.

How do I delete all the data in Contacts from my iMac (OS 10.13.6) and sync Contacts from my iPadMini (iOS 15.2.1)?

Ensure both computers have iCloud setup correctly. Please refer to iCloud Setup Instructions
