Why can’t we block all text messages coming from emails? My phone is ringing constantly from spammers and I’m tired of blocking them individually ALL DAY LONG. At night I have to put my phone on Do Not Disturb so I can get some sleep. Please do something!!!
These are coming is as SMS texts (green bubble) and are solely under the purview of the cell service providers and the FCC. Check with your cell service provider and see if you can forward them to 7726 and write to your congressional representatives and ask them to plug this loophole.

The ones that gazelle67 is referring to (and the one I replied to) is referring to spammers that are using a loophole in the SMS system to send these SMS text messages via email addresses. This is a pain in the *** to everyone, including the cell service providers. I agree, a different tool or plug is needed but Apple doesn't control SMS. So if you have been contacting Verizon and contact your congressional representatives you have done all you can do.
Are you referring to phone calls or text messages? If it is text messages and your phone is on Do Not Disturb you shouldn't hear a ring.
If these are SMS texts (green bubble) then you need to contact your cell service provider each time you get one.
Having the same problem with email addresses sending bad links (porn or whatever) to my iPhone tel# as well as 19 other phone#s as text. As the other users have stated, I blocked the email address, but, every new text from suspected same user has a different email address each time. I want the ability to block ANY email from sending me a text. Calling my carrier for each text received from this user would mean a call each day. The result of that call would NOT have a different result on new text because they're changing the email address each time. Just give me an option in messaging settings to BLOCK reception of text from ANY email address; I can live with that.

While the Answer is correct, it doesn't provide a solution. The issue is to block something that is spam ahead of time, so that we are not deluged with texts at Midnight, and we don't have to silence our phone. I did that and didn't find out until the following morning that the hospital was trying to call me about my Dad. How can we use our smart phone to help us instead of having to do lots of extra work to block email addresses and phone numbers after the fact? Especially when the spammers are morphing into new numbers constantly?
