I need a new iPad that can access satellites when off the grid. Does this new one have a GPS receiver built in?

If does if it's the Cellular model. If its the Wi-Fi only model it does not have the cellular chip which also includes the GPS module.
Choose the Wi-Fi + Cellular option of any iPad to get the GPS chip.
