Is there a way to display on the photo when you open it the date, location and name of person in the photo?
Is there a way to display on the photo when you open it the date, location and name of person in the photo?
In Photos 7 on macOS 12 Monterey - when you open a photo in Photos and view it enlarged, the date and location will appear in the toolbar. You can see the name of the photo, if you keep the option "View > Show Face Names" enabled.

Or do you want to write the metadata as a graphics overlay directly into the photo?
This has to be done manually for each photo, for example, by writing the text with the Markup extension.
If you want to see the metadata while viewing a slideshow, you need third-party tools.
I am simply using an Apple Script to write notifications with some metadata while playing a slideshow:
This script will play selected photos as a slideshow and show the titles, dates, locations as a notification for each photo:
