How Do You Temporarily Disable HomeKit Devices?

Is it possible to temporarily disable a HomeKit device within your network?

Use Case: I have quite a few HomeKit smart plugs that only get used around the holidays (think Halloween/Christmas lighting). When I unplug these devices HomeKit displays them as unresponsive and lists them at the top due to the error. I want to disable the device to remove the error warnings until they are needed/plugged back in again. However, I don't want to delete them. That would require settings them back up in HomeKit and rebuilding the automations/scenes they were part of.

Hopefully there is a solution to this that I'm not seeing. Advice would be much appreciated.

No, I'm interested in disabling a device, not an automation.
