I OWN a CD copy of Scorpions Live Bites and I can't play song 3. Rhythm of Love (Live) and I used to be able to until now.

How can apple restrict a song on my iPhone when I OWN a CD copy of the very song they are restricting?

This does not make any sense and it does not help the UX, brand or CX enjoyment of apple music, and because this is a very common issue for me (I own several CDs of some of the music I am being restricted to) I am really contemplating getting rid of my subscription.

unfortunately songs will get grayed due to new country/region restrictions or new artist/label restrictions. I have a live song from Zebra in a Apple Music playlist, then a few weeks ago it was grayed out with the country/region message.

For your song, I’m in the U.S. I found the Live Bites album and it played your song/isn’t greyed out.

Apple Music isn’t geared for mixing and matching private ripped collections with their streaming library. Best to use a 3rd party app for those, I use File Explorer which comes with a built-player. The free version is ad-free while the pro version allows fetching across your local network or cloud provider. Can recommend.
