Unable to hear audio on a external monitor over HDMI or USB-C specifically after Monterey
Ever since a lot of users updated to macOS Monterey, our MacBooks are not able to send audio with our USB-C and HDMI Monitors. This seems to be common to most monitors by reputed manufacturers.
This was absolutely not happening before Monterey on either of my USB-C and HDMI Monitors. Requesting you to investigate and fix this at the earliest. There are plenty of outraged users on both M1 and non-M1 MacBooks.
I have tried plenty of things like after-market plugins, testing the monitor with a different audio source and it works just fine. Monterey just isn't transmitting audio over HDMI or USB-C. This is just sad to expect, since it is a huge bug in Monterey, which never bothered me before the update.
