I am able to receive my emails, but cannot send. They go into the outbox.

I am at a hotel, connected to their server/Wi-Fi. I am able to receive emails but not send. They go into the outbox. I am able to access the internet.

iPad, iPadOS 15

If they send on other networks, then that's an issue with the hotel network.
