ive recently purchased an Apple Watch 7 and it doesn’t seem to be receiving cellular data despite the watch being the cellular kind. It won’t make or receive calls when my phone isn’t around, it doesn’t use data when phone isn’t round,
any advice?
im somewhat regretting the purchase as it seems so expensive considering it doesn’t do what it claims.
The obvious question is your cellular provider offers a data plan for Apple Watch and you have set it up correctly with your cellular provider?

This happened to my brother on AT&T when he got is new Series 7 Watch. AT&T simply didn't get the watch set up correctly in their system to receive calls if the phone was not nearby.
This is something you're going to need to get help with from your provider. Apple can't do it, because they don't provide the cellular data service to your watch.
Yes, my provider does offers data plan and it was bought directly from my phone provider. I’ve followed all steps to set it up correctly and it is updated with latest IOS
