Scan credit card on iPad

Before, when I wanted to use my credit card to pay for something online (unless Apple Pay was available), websites used to give me the option to scan my credit card with my iPad Pro’s camera. Most of the time, it used to automatically put in my credit card number plus my name and expiry date. But now since my iPad Pro 3rd Gen has updated to iPadOS 15.2.1 it only give me the option to Scan Text in one box at a time. Most of the time, it does not properly recognise my credit card numbers correctly. This means I need to put in my credit card details manually. Does anyone have an answer to this issue?
