We very much enjoy having our own iPhone paired with our car stereo, and would like to help get you back to enjoying your own.
You've already checked some good settings regarding what's happening, and we'd like to continue from here with you:
- You mentioned that this had no issues announcing the text messages to you, but are we correct in understanding it also showed the text message itself on your car stereo's screen?
- As you have a compatible iPhone, the latest is iOS 15.3. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. Here's a link that'll show how to first back up, then Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
- Have you already checked if your iPhone has the same issue with a different stereo?
- What about checking with the car stereo's manufacturer to see if there's a possible firmware update for the stereo itself?
