Can I use German gift cards if I change the region of my Apple ID?

I've been wondering if that's possible. And will I still be able to play my US-only games on my iPad? Thanks in advance!

The first gift card I received was from Germany. now i got it from austria, and i can't change the region for it to be accepted, because then i put german so the card would work. Gift cards are only good in the region where they were purchased. If you are in the German Region, German Gift cards should be good.

You should be able to play your US-only games.
