Yes, and no. It is not like your iPhone will fail if taking a fall even from a considerable high will break the internals; I cannot say it will cosmetically ok; however, if the iPhone is physically damaged around the notch area, that can cause it. In rare cases, a fall may not cosmically damage it or not leave anything visible but could affect the connections inside the phone, hence to your question yes, it might.
