If you mean AppleCare, and if you are in the U.S., see the information in AppleCare Products - Mac - Apple including the following:

How to buy

  1. Purchase AppleCare+ with your new Mac.
  2. Or buy it within 60 days of your Mac purchase:
    • On your device (go to  > About This Mac > Support)
    • Online (requires you to verify your serial number)
    • At an Apple Store (inspection of Mac and proof of purchase are required)
    • By calling 800-275-2273

AppleCare offers limited accidental coverage, so read carefully. It is more thorough for manufacturer defects and direct support on Apple's products.

is a third party insurer that covers most forms of accidental damage, that is independent of your homeowner/rental policy.

Your homeowner rental policy may have its own coverage and exclusions/limitations. Discuss with this policy if claims of a particular type will put you at risk of losing coverage, or raise in rates.
