You’ll need to remove your SIM card tray, make sure the SIM card is positioned correctly, and reinsert the SIM card tray with the SIM card installed correctly.

This requires a SIM ejection tool, or something the size of a safety-pin to insert and eject SIM.

Here is the official Apple Support document for removing and reinserting a SIM card on any iPhone model: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201337

If this doesn’t work, you may need to call Apple or take your device to an Apple Store or your SIM carrier.

I’m very sorry to hear that!

Apple would ask you to do the following steps before servicing your device:

• Restart the iPhone (You’ve probably already tried this).

• Reinstall the iPhone SIM card (You have definitely done this).

• Reset the iPhone Network Settings (Settings app>General>Transfer & Reset).

• Restore the iPhone to its original software using a computer (or Erase all Content and Settings via iPhone Settings app).

• Try updating the iPhone to the latest version of iOS if you aren’t on it already.

If nothing here works, take your device to your carrier or an Apple Store. They’ll definitely be able to help you out with this particular situation.

Honestly, this sounds like an iPhone hardware problem, in-which no software modifications or resets would fix it.

So I would go ahead and make a call to Apple Support or your carriers support system.
