Hcaptcha Issue - Not allowing access to certain sites

Hello - I am hoping someone can help as I believe my macbook pro may have a virus.

For weeks I have been unable to access certain websites like Canva and Pinterest, that I use daily for my business. Every time I try to access them on Safari, Chrome or Firefox from my macbook, I get a pop up asking me to check I am not a robot and it comes from this site ... https://www.hcaptcha.com/what-is-hcaptcha-about?site=www.canva.com&key=33f96e6a-38cd-421b-bb68-7806e1764460&r=a0

I have cleared cookies, cache, cleared all saved log ins and passwords. I have restarted, shut down, deleted chrome and re-downloaded. I have done everything the support recommended and it still is not working.

Here are a couple of screenshots of what happens when I try to access the canva.com site.

It also does the same thing with Pinterest.

When I click to see what that means, it re-directs me to this site ...

Any suggestions? HELP! :) I am about to give up and can not get appointment with genius bar.

Thank you in advance.

I understand attempts to load certain websites like https://www.canva.com are being redirected to some other site. The fact it happens to be hcaptcha.com doesn't really matter; the problem is the fact attempts to load those sites cause Safari or Firefox to load a page from some other site.

If Safari on Mac doesn't open a webpage or isn't working as expected - Apple Support has some suggestions, some of which you already tried. Review all of them to be sure you didn't overlook anything.

Try "Safe Mode": How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support. Determine if the same problems exist while using your Mac in that mode, then restart normally (not "Safe Mode") and observe again.

If all else fails try the following in an effort to isolate the cause to your Mac or factors external to it:

  1. Shut down your Mac.
  2. Load macOS Recovery by holding and r (two fingers) while you start your Mac with a third finger.
  3. At the Utilities screen, release those two fingers.
  4. Choose Safari (or Get Help Online, depending on the Recovery version that appears).
  5. Safari will launch, but it will lack your bookmarks, favorites, history and other preferences.

Determine if the problem persists while using Safari in that mode.

After that, restart your Mac normally again, and reply with your observations.
