M1 macbook pro 13"inch 2020 Battery Not Detected, Code PPT001

recently my macbook pro M1 chip got water damaged. The macos diagnostic result showed only code PPT001. I already tried to replace the battery with a new one but the problem still remained. Now My macbook can't turn on without charging (with the old battery). Can somebody help me :"(

Macbook Air recognizing battery but not charging So I have a Macbook Air with model number A1465. I spilled a bit of water on it a bit back and the thing still works except for a few things: 1) The battery won't charge. 2) The device can't run off of the battery. The battery IS recognized by MacOS but it just refuses to charge. I have tried resetting the SMC but that didn't do anything. Any ideas? Do I need to replace the logic board?

My MacBook Pro doesn't recognize the battery after minor liquid spill Hello and thank you in advance to everyone that will try to help me. My MacBook Pro get water damaged with some drops of water on the left/up side and, as it should do in this cases, i rapidly shutted down and reversed it. The laptop works perfectly fine with the exception of it not recognizing the battery, thus the laptop only turns on while being connected to the power cord. The battery icon on the top right displays an X with "No battery available". This is mirrored in the System Information interface under Power, where all values for this section display "No" and "0" (as in the battery is not recognized). If i remove the power cord it goes on kind of a sleep state because if i re-plug the cord it wakes so it doesn’t shut down. I have tried SMC Reset and this made no difference. I’ve also tried cleaning the NVRAM/PRAM without any luck. I’ve also tried a method described on a discussion on this site that consist on removing the battery, press 10 sec the power button, plug the magsafe while pushing power and then plug the battery in. With this method the MacBook turns on WITHOUT the power cord (so the battery is working), with the airfan at max speed but the battery icon on the top right still displays an X. I’ve also purchased a new battery and replaced the old one but nothing changed. I know that it is near impossible to diagnose what is wrong with the laptop via the forum, but what are the options? There are any other thing i can try do to or the only solution is asking to a service provider?

My MacBook will not turn on after pressing the small gold button to disconnect the battery. (Macbook 12 inch, retina 2017) I opened up my MacBook because a few months ago, I've spilled water in my backpack where my MacBook was located. I went home and I opened up an ifixit guide for my Mac so I can open it up to take a look at it. Luckily, there was no water damage but the guide told me to push a button to shut off the battery so it’s safe to work. I then reassemble my MacBook, and when I plug in the charger and power on the computer, it did not turn on and began warming up. Someone else also had this issue inside the guide that I was on and some people use different chargers and stuff like that but in my case, none of that worked for me and I was wondering if there are any other tips I can try. I’ve tried most basic stuff, like resetting the SMC, trying to go in recovery mode but nothing. I did take it to the Apple Store but they didn’t really do much. Sorry for the long explanation I tried to explain all the details I’ve tried. I have included a picture of the user, having the same problem as me.

Well the problem is this, you tried to replace the battery. That typically is not good for any warranty support, since that will be obvious from your own work. I'm not saying that's how Apple will view it, since we can't guess Apple policy. But that's how I've seen it has happened before to people.

AppleCare+ for future events does offer some accident protection. External battery packs do exist with charging USB-C which can afford the portable functionality as long as the charging ports are working. That may be cheaper than trying to negotiate with AppleCare the replacement of the parts.
