iphone restarts repeatedly unable to use phone

My son’s iphone XR started rebooting suddenly yesterday. Cycles to Apple logo then turns off… can’t get in to phone to run an update to see if that might help… Any ideas?

Have tried Forced restart. Can’t log in to iCloud to check backups as the phone not working so can’t receive text message for 2 factor authentication…

Any help appreciated.
